Amy Dyson

My interest in pursuing a career in law began at the age of 16, when I was fortunate enough to spend a week at a law firm in the Isle of Man as part of a high school work experience project. I then went on to study Law at A Level and at University. I studied at Northumbria University and graduated in 2016 having achieved the MLaw Exempting degree (an integrated Masters degree that combines a Qualifying Law Degree and exemption from the Legal Practice Course). During my time at University, I worked in Northumbria University’s award-winning Student Law Office, offering pro bono advice to clients on a variety of civil matters.
On graduating, I completed my training contract at a commercial firm in Leeds, before qualifying as a solicitor and joining their Commercial Litigation team in 2018. I then relocated to Cambridge in 2019 and joined the Commercial and IP litigation team at a local firm, before moving back North and joining Legal Studio in 2020.
I advise clients on a wide range of commercial disputes, including a variety of contractual and tortious disputes, shareholder disputes, debt recovery and claims against professionals. I have also advised clients on contentious Intellectual Property matters involving Trade Mark and Copyright claims, and Domain Name disputes.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling as much as possible, especially to countries where I can scuba dive or ski. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and walking my very large dog, Bella.
