Aaron Johnson

Solicitor
Aaron Johnson Main

I am a private client solicitor based in Bridlington, supporting clients with wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, estate administration and trust matters.

I advise individuals and families who want clear, practical support when planning ahead or dealing with important decisions later in life.

How I help

Most people come to me at a point where something needs to be put in place or dealt with properly.

It might be making a will. It might be putting lasting powers of attorney in place so the right people can step in if needed. Or it may be after someone has died, when the family needs help understanding what happens next.

My role is to step in, explain things clearly and help clients move forward with confidence. Sometimes that means putting plans in place early. Sometimes it means guiding people through probate or estate administration. Often it is about making a process feel more manageable at what can be a difficult time.

Where I add value

A lot of my work sits around helping people plan ahead with clarity and deal with important decisions at the right time.

I regularly support clients with wills, lasting powers of attorney, enduring powers of attorney, probate, estate administration and trust matters.

I also work with clients later in life, including visiting people at home or in care settings where needed. Having worked both remotely and in person throughout my career, I am used to supporting clients in a way that works for them.

Alongside this, I help clients take a practical approach to protecting their position, often combining services so that everything is considered together.

Alongside my wider private client work, I also have experience advising agricultural clients, farming families and rural landowners.

Over the last few years, I have supported clients across Malton, Pickering and surrounding rural communities with wills, succession planning, lasting powers of attorney, probate and estate administration. This has given me a strong understanding of the practical and personal issues that can arise where family relationships, business interests and land ownership overlap.

I understand that these situations are often about far more than legal documents alone. They involve long-term planning, family dynamics and protecting what matters across generations.

Experience

I studied law at Newcastle University before starting my legal career in Bridlington at Murray Hills Solicitors.

I later worked in York before joining Pattinson and Brewer, where I spent much of my career, qualified as a solicitor and completed the STEP qualification.

I have around 15 years’ experience in private client law, advising on wills, probate, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and related matters.

Representative work

My work has included:

  • Preparing wills for individuals and couples
  • Advising on lasting powers of attorney
  • Registering enduring powers of attorney
  • Supporting families with probate applications
  • Managing full estate administration
  • Advising on trust matters
  • Visiting clients at home or in care settings
My approach

I take a straightforward and practical approach.

Clients often come to me when something feels important but unclear, or when they are dealing with a situation they have not faced before. My role is to bring clarity, explain the options and make sure everything is handled properly.

I prefer clear communication and a personal approach, so clients deal with me directly throughout. This helps make the process feel more consistent and easier to manage from start to finish.
