Private Client Solicitor

I studied law at University of Manchester where I was set on having a legal career in research with my love for in-depth legal analysis and its application to the wider public, but a transformative stint at a law firm changed my mind and I qualified as a solicitor in 2015.
Since qualification I have been practising exclusively in Private Client. My practice includes Will preparation, powers of attorney, inheritance tax and succession planning, estate administration and advising on trusts.

I advise on relatively straightforward matters to complex ones. I have acted for a range of clients from young families to centimillionaire business owners to international families with roots all over the world. Different clients have different priorities – who will look after their minor children or vulnerable loved ones, mitigating inheritance tax, planning for generations, avoiding disputes amongst beneficiaries or how to avoid red tape for estate or trust administration where family members are situated abroad – and I enjoy getting to know my clients and what is important to them. I offer pragmatic solutions, and work alongside other professionals where suitable, to help my clients feel reassured that their affairs are well organised even as their priorities inevitably change over time.

I am a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and completed advanced STEP in UK Tax for International Clients in 2020.

Growing up and having lived in various countries naturally land me an understanding on cross-border issues and cultural considerations and having worked mainly in London I have worked with many families with international connections. I am multilingual can assist clients who would like to liaise in Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, Malay and Teochew dialect.

Outside of work I enjoy cooking with my young family, doing puzzles and following the fortunes of my sport teams. I am also a trustee at Beyond Food Foundation, a charity that helps to transform vulnerable adults and adolescents through food.
