I am a commercial litigation solicitor advising businesses and individuals on disputes, with particular experience in financial litigation, technology disputes, asset recovery, debt recovery, fraud, negligence and commercial contract claims.
I help clients understand their position clearly, assess the risks, and work out the most practical way forward when a dispute has arisen or may be about to arise.
How I help
Most people come to me when something has gone wrong and they need clear advice on what to do next.
It might be a commercial contract dispute, an issue with non-payment, a project that has not gone to plan, or a claim involving financial services, technology, asset recovery or consumer law.
My role is to help clients understand the strength of their position, the options available, and the most sensible route forward. Sometimes that means resolving the issue before it escalates. Sometimes it means preparing for litigation. Often it is about helping clients make a decision with a clear understanding of the risks, costs and commercial realities.
Where I add value
A lot of my work sits around complex commercial disputes where the legal position needs to be understood alongside the practical and commercial context.
I have particular experience in financial litigation, including disputes involving banks, regulated financial services businesses, mis-selling claims and matters involving the FCA as regulator.
I also advise on technology and commercial contract disputes, including situations where projects have gone wrong, agreements have been terminated, money has not been paid, or goods and assets need to be recovered.
Having acted for major financial institutions and large commercial clients, I understand how those organisations work internally. That experience can be especially valuable for individuals, SMEs and businesses bringing or defending claims involving larger organisations.
Experience
I began my legal career while studying law part-time and working during the day, building practical experience early on.
I trained and qualified at Addleshaw Goddard, where I worked in financial litigation and commercial disputes. I later moved to the firm’s London office and spent a year on secondment at Lloyds Bank, advising on sensitive, high-value commercial disputes including interest rate hedging product mis-selling claims.
I then joined Travers Smith, where I was part of the team acting for Hewlett-Packard in the HP Autonomy litigation, widely reported as one of the largest and most significant fraud trials in UK legal history.
After several years away from full-time practice while raising my children, I returned to law as a consultant solicitor with Legal Studio.

My approach
I take a thoughtful, practical and commercially aware approach.
Clients often come to me when a dispute feels uncertain, stressful or difficult to assess. My role is to help them understand the position clearly, weigh up the options and make informed decisions about what happens next.
I am particularly interested in disputes where there is a financial, regulatory, technology or commercial context, and where my experience of acting for large organisations can help clients understand what may be happening on the other side.
I do not take on every matter. If something is outside my expertise, or if the timing or circumstances mean I am not the right person to help, I will say so. I believe clients are best served by clear advice from the outset.
