I’m a qualified Solicitor-Advocate with over 18 years’ commercial law experience from both private practice and in-house. During my career I’ve had the opportunity to work with several rapidly-growing, innovative businesses that have scaled internationally.
I have worked in-house for the last 10 years with focus on business operations across North America, EMEA and APAC. I’ve operated as first or sole lawyer for an SME, setting up the legal function and internal processes from scratch and also for as part of larger teams of 80+ in-house lawyers for an international PLC. I enjoy the ability to partner with businesses to find commercially-focused resolutions to both transactional issues and disputes.
To provide the best possible advice, lawyers need to understand how their client’s business operates. Working in-house provides an opportunity for lawyers to gain a greater understanding of the commercial and operational aspects both for the business and the wider sector.

With more than a decade’s experience of working in-house at General Counsel/Head of Legal/Sole Counsel level I pride myself on delivering focussed, pragmatic commercial advice to clients. Working in-house helps to highlight the importance of commercial as well as legal solutions to businesses.
I joined Legal Studio to set up a GC on demand service to work with a wider portfolio of clients who want to benefit from such advice for a fixed monthly cost. I work with a select portfolio of clients on a retained basis to support their strategic plans.
